Terrific Tessellations

When students in Room 2 finish their work early they work on a task we call the 'Stellar Superstars Challenge'. The challenge last week was to learn about M.C. Escher's Tessellations. Then they had to create their own. Here are some of the digital tessellations students created.

Ihaka (left) and JJ (right) worked together to create these tessellations with fish designs

Tayla (left) and Shriya (right) worked together to create these rainbow tessellations using arrows.

Sirat (left) tried making a few different designs. And Harry (right) made this large tessellation, can you figure out what shape he used?
